"From Minarets to St Paul's Cathedral" Lorraine Hamid gives a fascinating talk, Lost in Translation, recalling how Ottoman and Iranian art influenced famous British buildings such as Layton Hall, Brighton Pavilion and others.An insight into how Islamic architecture design played a part in influencing western buildings.Nasheed music from leading young British Muslim Artist, Aashiq-al-Rasul overwhelmed the audiences with their performances in Arabic and Urdu.And a thought-provoking talk drawn from many faiths and none by the director of the Khayaal Theatre, Luquman Ali, was much enjoyed by the audience in which he reflected on the role of art in Islam and storytelling as the best means for cultures, faith and traditions to understand each other.

MK Islamic Arts Heritage and Culture in partnership with Helen Taylor held free Arts workshops for students to learn about Islamic arts and the ancient craft of illumination at local different schools and was supported by Community Foundation.This was a unique opportunity to learn about Islamic Arts and its contribution to the Education syllabus.Artist Ayesha Gamiet said: "The workshops gave a short introduction into the art of Islamic manuscript illumination. For centuries, Muslim artists have used gold, ink and brightly coloured paints to illuminate and beautify Qur'anic calligraphy.

On Friday 28th September 2007, a Ramadan conference was held at MK College.
